About 1,500 cooks used about 1,000kg (2,200lbs) of ostrich meat to make the 1,500m (4,920ft) long sandwich (BBC).

However, when the Guinness Book of Word Records officials came forward to verify the record, they found out that people had already started to eat the sandwich. The whole record virtually disappeared in a few minutes. Thus, when you feel sorry for yourself that you have to limit the number of your dinners at the restaurants, think about Iranians for a while…
