Vibe Magazine focuses on African-American urban youth and is predominantly devoted to such topics as R & B and hip-hop music, actors and other famous people.

In those days, there were no large-scale video-hostings in the Internet, but the audience of the Wassup? clip could be compared with today’s most popular videos on YouTube. Video was transmitted via e-mail and file-sharing networks, and is still the most successful example of on-line marketing. Later, Wassup? also spawned a whole wave of parodies.

And now, after 8 years of the Republicans in the White House, the video characters are back and ask the eternal question: «Wassup?» In response, another character says: «Change. That’s wassup.» We’ll remind that the main slogan of the U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama campaign is the phrase «Change We Can Believe In».
